Syrian govt secret police beheaded, skinned and mutilated 18 yr old girl

A young woman whisked away by Syrian security forces to coax the surrender of her activist brother turned up beheaded and dismembered, activists and human rights groups say, yet another high-profile display of cruelty in the conflict-wracked nation.

Nineteen-year-old Zainab Alhusni stepped away from her Homs residence last month to buy groceries.

Her family never saw her again until security forces returned her mutilated corpse, two opposition activist groups operating inside Syria and Amnesty International told CNN.

3. Question, who are these Syrian security forces that are torturing and dismembering children
And why does anyone in Syria put up with such a barbaric dictatorship?

Why do we keep hearing about how Syrians are of two minds about a
revolt, how Bashir Assad is supposedly not like his dad and has NO
control over his minions and "wants" reform, etc.

Is it simply a totalitarian state built on fear, capable of preventing
any thoughtcrime through the mutilation of children, and if so, why has
the US been buddying up to it for so long?

Or are these ethnic hate crimes enacted through the security service, a la Iraq?

Don't we send enemy combatants to be tortured by these monsters?

4. How long does oppression have to go along unchecked before oppressors get to these extremes?
They didn't just start off beheading the kid sisters of dissidents. They had to thrive in the darkness for generations, unchecked, unreported, for generations before human beings find the "courage" to do this to another human being. Damn all of us for letting this evil prosper and grow so large and powerful.

5. There is a lesson for us here in this country.
I'm sure the Rick Perry's of this nation won't have a problem with this. The end justifies the their means. Atwater, Rove, Rumsfeld, Cheney and the many others supported by the programed droids who will unthinkingly go over the cliff just because someone said so.
