This is the OPPOSITE of the teabaggers. There are none there who aren't Paul-heads trying to co-opt the real point of this effort.
Dylan is just trying to cover his former CNBC ass.

20. That's why i said tea baggers should not be part of this protest. |
|
and Ron Paul supporters should not be there either because they will quickly destroy what these people have worked hard to accomplish, we all know the M$M is looking for something they can their teeth into, and that is a scandal.

15. They're trying to confuse the masses |
|
They know this is getting huge, and they're trying to get in front of it with they're " I don't know what they want? BS. I don't know if that will work this time, the average American knows exactly what OWS is about. They are trying to propel the propaganda. Confuse us.

The last thing they want the world to know, is why protestors are even there. The message is that protestors are just a confused lot. That's what CNN told me too. A real shame that this corporate media will just misinform folks just because they can.

Edited on Wed Oct-05-11 02:09 PM by Bragi
It occurs to me that the contours of this news "show" on a not-totally-hostile mainstream network are troublesome. The host has no actual information about what has been happening for days now with OWS, beyond snippets she she snags from listening to the answers of the journalists she is questioning who have been staying atop this "story", supplemented by whatever instructions and info she gets on her earpiece. It's as though she now remembers a meeting where she was assured this was a political fringe thing she likely would not have to cover, and therefore regrets having chosen then not to not follow events in the park closely. It's 19 days later, and here she is.
So have we not got enough signs to tell us that when the corporate media news machine finally does place its gaze upon OWS, it may not be pretty. How can it NOT be expected that when they do engage, the media mission will be to dilute and undermine any spontaneous uprising-y movement. Through bombardings of organized and practiced incoherence, and canononades of partisan talking-head points, they will render the movement soundly meaningless.

...as a self righteous media outlet. he did by name. I was happy. Tamara hall has a history of waffling and missing the point.
EDIT: earlier in the story, she perkily pointed out (twice) how Adbusters (didn't call them by name, said 'a grassroots org in British Columbia') was the one who organized this protest. And harping on how it was started fro outside the country.
Fuck her. We have enough attackers outside shitty ol' MSNBC. What with her and Morning Shmoe, and chris 'I Voted From W in 2000' Matthews....
