Islamic Totalitarianism. Threat to our Nation |
|
Don't laugh, this is a current big deal with the Freeper crowd. Along with the threat of Mexico taking back the Southwest and a unified US-Mexican currency, they think we have to spend time worrying about and fighting the threat of Islamic Totalitarian regime her in America. Expect Congressional hearings.
It's amazing how these sheep blindly ignore the real problems we face, like the dissolving of the middle class by the corporate elite, and buy into this crap.

15. If you care enough to post, that's all that needs to matter |
|
Otherwise, it's just a vanity post and should be in the lounge.
Funny, I think we're facing totalitarianism, too, just not of the Islamic variety. Ours is a fully owned subsidiary of Goldman Sacs, Bank of America, and every other corporation that is too big to fail.

3. Fortunately, we're protected by |

armed Tea Party militiamen armed with big guns and big bellies.
So I don't really worry about any of it.

4. ''Islamic Totalitarianism'' to take over America, wouldn't something like 50% of the country have to |
|
agree with it at some point?
There's not even that many Islamic countries that want to go with full on Sharia law. Most at most want Islam influenced law.

5. So, the Christo-Fascists are using Islamic Totalitarianism and Hispanic Invasion as justification |
|
for (fill in the blank)?
But "God, guns, and gays" is so much more catchy and has fewer of those darn syllables to trip over.

7. The GOP has expanded the meaning of "RED" ... |
|
Communism is RED.
Homosexuality ... RED Socialism ... RED Fascism ... RED Islam ... RED Arabs ... RED France ... RED Mexico ... RED South America ... RED Dept of Education ... RED Health are ... RED
They've figured out that if they scream communism, socialism, and fascism over and over ... individual right wingers will latch on to at least ONE of these terms, and apply it to everything else. What the words mean doesn't matter.
Its all RED.

10. Any label that will stick. |
|
I hear so many labels being thrown at whatever the Koch Brothers dislike. It's a wonder that "apple pie" hasn't become a slur. There was a sign somewhere that said "Socialist, Marxist, Nazi, and Communist: He can't be all four" (or something like that) in reference to President Obama constantly being labeled these by the tea partiers.
Who is behind these efforts to divide America citizens? Who benefits?

13. It reminds me of (sadly) a scene in one of the Harry Potter movies ... |
|
The Professor has this trunk, and when he opens it, the person sees the thing that scares them the most.
The GOP message machine is just like that trunk. Members of the right wing see whatever it is that terrifies them personally the most.

12. Well, what did you expect? |
|
Freepers are by and large a bunch of ignorant, redneck, inbreeding racist fucks, many of whom are former or current military, or just members of the 101st Chairborne and graduated from Call of Duty Military Training.
So no shit they throw up a strawman in Islamic Fundamentalism. It keeps them from realizing they're the real totalitarians in this country.

17. Look, they have to be jazzed about something |
|
Even if it's stupid. Distractions must keep coming, otherwise sooner or later, people will leave off the hysteria and might actually address some of the problems in the country. And, of course, one of those problems is the outsize influence of the monied interests that keeps distracting the loud-mouthed gullible segment of our country.
