The Iran assassination plot news is disturbing on it's face related to propaganda.
The OWS movement is making people in power nervous. History has presented itself with another opportunity for the controlling financial powers in the world to attack a country and steal the headlines from the peoples movement and making money for war contractors.

If we were to attack Iran there would be more heat from the hawks and war mongers because the spin would be, 'We need to come together and not protest our country or it's ecomony while or soldiers are in harms way.'

I think the plot was real but the timing was calculated to arrest and indict the perpetrators. Something seems cockeyed with the way the plot was carried out and the time line of the decision to arrest.

Ahmadinejad is actually using his own propaganda by saying it is a 'fairy tale' and a 'diversion from the American protests'.

I do not believe it is a child's tale or fairy tale but it is an opportunity for those in power that are on the edge about attacking Iran to jump over that edge.

Hope I'm wrong.

1. we were discussing this very thing yesterday
And came to the conclusion that it's very likely it was *decided* to release this info, probably just one of many threats found daily, in order to gin up the crazies and take the wind out of the OWS sails.

I put NOTHING past this government anymore.

5. Yeah I am with you on this one.
If it was GWB I would have some doubt, but Obama has shown zero reason to lie about things like this.

7. No one is lying. It doesn't have to be a lie. It is an opportunity.
I never said Obama or anyone else lied.

6. I'm not dissing the President. Just because the Iranian president hijacked the concept
doesn't mean it can't be discussed. The last time I checked we had free speech unless some topics are taboo because we don't. I don't think so. To imply or accuse holocaust denying is a stretch. I've been to the death camps in Germany. I knew it happened before I went and knew it happened when I saw the ashes still in the furnaces.
Even though brutal dictators do brutal things doesn't mean they don't have a thought or two that's similar to someone who is not a brutal dictator.
