If the EU banks collapse, |
|
what will be the implications here? I read the article posted previously on Market Watch and I do believe that there will be no more bank bailouts if they crash here. If your bank or stock portfolio does not include any European banks, how much at risk are you?

1. I have my "retirement' funds in morgan stanley... |
|
believe me, it ain't much, but they are invested in Greece. I have been emailing my financial manager as to what the hell is going on. he keeps telling me things will be okay. Why don't I believe him? My gf and I are now looking into other options.
the situation for me is: if my funds tank, I go from being able to have bread and milk + SS to keep me alive when I'm old to nothing and SS (if that is still around).
If anyone out there has a idea as to what I should do, I would love to hear some advice.

Perhaps to a CD at a Credit Union?
Very little interest, but very little risk.

6. That's one of the options we are looking at. |
|
we already do our "banking" with a credit union.
Thanks for the input, though. :)

9. I've only breifly looked into European banks, but given the "ify" status of |
|
things in both Greece and Italy, I don't know if I would do that right now.

5. Won't happen. The EFSF has over $500 billion to back them up. |
|
TARP style. No vote needed.

7. Eurozone banks would all be nationalized if things get really bad |
|
Who knows what happens in non-Eurozone EU, especially City of London banks, or in the US.
Probably they would be mostly nationalized as well.
