Saudi crown prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud has died... |
|
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sultan_bin_Abdul-Aziz_Al_SaudNow, the next in line of succession is Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_NayefDude even has a Facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Prince-Naif-Bin-Abdulaziz-Al-Saud/167619072141For what it's worth, the new (likely) crown prince is on record as saying "It is impossible that 19 youths carried out the operation of September 11, or that bin Laden or Al Qaeda did that alone. … I think are behind these events."
Apparently, he's VERY conservative.
The current King is now 87 years old.

1. So whose the new heir to the throne? |
|
Hopefully he is someone even more progressive than his father willing to finally make changes.

2. See above - Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud |
|
He may not become the crown prince, depending upon infighting, but he is next in line...

3. Apparently Prince Nayef is |
|
And he isn't progressive even by Saudi standards. He is said to have stated that there is no need either for elections, or for women in government. He is also on record blaming the 'Zionists' for 9-11.
