Poll question: Corporate fascism has risen to the point of directing policies of The United States of America
Edited on Fri Oct-28-11 11:00 AM by bobthedrummer
This is not democracy, corporations ARE NOT PEOPLE.
The rule of law applies to ALL. All power to the people-like it states in OUR Constitution.

3. I listen to/read a lot of things and I now can't recall the source, but it went as ...
Both R's and D's need to rethink what they are, what they represent and why they are where they are. The R's need to rethink why they are so RW, nutty, and cater to a minority of far RWers. The D's need to rethink why they move to the right and embrace so dearly corporatism at the expense of the country. And, a strong 3rd party needs to emerge to provide balance in the system.

Net/net, our democracy in this country is gone. And none of the parties really serve the majority.

4. Did you ever ask yourself
why it is a DCLU policy to prohibit any advocacy of third party?

Curious, no?

11. But...but...Independents occupy that gap between Dems and Republicans!
That's why the Dems have to continually move to the right to capture Independents!

Right?

6. When Texas executes a corporation, I may change my mind.
Until then, as the sage said, I don't believe they're people.

And yes, the corporate-government national corporate security state run the show.

For proof: Look around and see wars without end, the middle class shrinking to penury, and welfare for the wealthy.

7. This isn't anything new.
Corporate fascism has been running this country
for over 100 years.
In the last 30 years (especially the last 10)
it has become more blatant and greedy.

13. Same as it ever was....

it's just out in the open now, the unions have been shrunk, the Soviet Union is no more, they believe they have nothing to fear.

And so we must prove them wrong again, but next time, no half measures.

14. Interesting results. 60 or so votes
and NONE say it's false. So the question actually becomes, what do we do about it?

"Reform" a system that has proven over and over again that IT WON'T STAY REFORMED? Or strike out with something new?
