Mayor Rahm Looks To Cut Libraries/Staff, Says No to Occupy

It looks as though public libraries are in the cross-hairs of Rahm's budget cutting measures. Up to 550 library employees could be cut along with reduced hours of operation of the libraries themselves. A much needed push-back on these harmful proposals is thankfully occuring:

Also of note at the end of the article, the Mayor seems to be no ally of Occupy Chicago as he apparently rejected requests for a permanent public space for occupiers.
