Ikea recalls mirror doors over safety concerns


Furniture giant Ikea is recalling 1,608 mirror doors sold with one of its wardrobes over concerns that the mirrors may detach, fall and potentially shatter.

Ikea said Tuesday it was recalling doors sold with the Pax Aurland wardrobe unit after 14 reports of incidents where the mirror detached. One of the incidents resulted in a minor injury, Ikea said in a release.

The affected doors have model number 101-604-51 and supplier number 12650 and were sold between August 2009 and September of this year.

The date stamp is printed on the lower edge of the rear of the mirror door.
