1. Corzine has a major problem. |
|
He's a very recent public figure. The feds will make an example out of him.

Too many fat cats have simply skated away with bags of cash after destroying the dreams of millions of people.
Yeah, I'm looking at Mozillo and most of the Enron thieves.

6. He may be a flight risk. Once he gets down to the Caribbean on a plane or yacht he's home free. |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 11:28 AM by kenny blankenship
The United States of America, with its tiny military and investigative resources, has never been able to find out or regulate who does what and what goes on in those treacherous Caribbean waters. He'll just slip away. It's not like Pakistan, where OBL was found, which is practically next door to us, and where we can see through walls, and which is a country sparsely populated by natives with no military to speak of, and where the main industry is serving fruity rum drinks to tourists.

I was confused. Whoever I was thinking of, it was not him.
He seems to be a very strong liberal - how'd he get into his current mess?
(edited, for mistaken identity).

22. It all started when he was head of Goldman Sachs |
|
Then he got elected to the senate, then governor, then when he lost his reelecteion, he went back to brokerage. This one he bankrupted in just two years.
Quite an accomplished career.

14. Shouldn't there be an investigation first |
|
to determine whether there is probable cause that a crime was committed?
Or are we suspending the concept of due process?

16. that is not the way it works - there has to be probable cause, some evidence, |
|
and a case made.
I am an old-fashioned ACLU donor - all this bloodlust on here is unnerving.

They should have "made an example" of all kinds of folks back in '08. Don't hold your breath on this one.

He will probably be banned from the industry for life at the worst.
But the "head on a pike" crowd wants blood - they remind me of a lynch mob.
