Super Committee Max Baucus Agrees to Cuts to Social Security & Medicare in exchange for Revenue
This doesn't sit well with me. Middle and lower class folks have sacrificed for DECADES. It's time for the wealthy to pony up. The majority of the public does not want these programs cut. This is not a winning idea:

Excerpt:
Cuts to entitlement programs are not out of the question, but, to gain approval, such cuts would have to be balanced with increases in revenue, Baucus said. Link: http://www.greatfallstribune.com/article/20111103/NEWS01/111030305/Baucus-Agreement-imminent-supercommittee-deficit-reduction?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CFrontpage%7Cs

Do we really think Republicans are going to allow Bush Tax Cuts to expire? Or are we going to get some measly tax loopholes closed for billionaires that are absurd in the first place.

We cannot trade away the few benefits we have left. You can be sure, if entitlements are cut, the Republicans will turn around in 2012 and say they are the defenders of these programs and Democrats cut your Social Security and Medicare. Once these programs are hacked to bits, it will be easier to dismantle and privatize them. Why has it come to this?

1. It's a fraud.
When the Bush taxcuts expire again, we will have more revenues than they are negotiating for. What is their plan for the Bush taxcuts? I wonder?

9. OK If SS is good enough for me and my MOM it is good enough for my Senator. Make the Congress retire
on Social Security. Roll all their current retirement funds into SS and see what we cut then.

4. This is a moral issue.
Any politician, Republican or faux Democrat, who supports benefit cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security needs to go.

Period.

12. Because they are all part of the Global 'Austerity'
program, which is what this is. It worked so well in Europe they are on the brink of economic warfare, maybe even worse.

This is what they discuss at the G20 meetings where they give the orders to the Political Leaders to go back home and implement the IMF/World Bank policies. Getting a Democrat to do the dirty work was supposedly a way to silence those who would be the most opposed. But they are mistaken.

Why do they think there is a world-wide movement of people out on the streets trying to stop them?

Any Democrat who does not oppose this NOW, will most likely be challenged and lose their next election. They want those funds badly for their wars and their tax cuts. And they ignore the will of the people, as they have in Europe.

That Committee should be disbanded. It is nothing more than an instrument to try to push through unpopular policies that most elected officials would be a fraid to do.

17. World bankers have waged economic warfare for a very long time but in secret until now.
This quote from David Rockefeller should leave no doubt about who has been in power since the creation of the FED.

We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years.

It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world-government.

The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.

- David Rockefeller in an address to the Trilateral Commission, 1991

* "respected the promises of discretion" = the media who kept lying and deceiving the populace on our behalf.

* "auto-determination" = self-determination of the people of independent nations.

Also noteworthy: "austerity" is a euphemism for social genocide so as to reduce any given population to wage slavery and a manageable size for the elite.

18. Wow, never saw that before.
The sheer arrogance of it, the sense of being part of a World Royalty, is simply stunning.

And the acknowledgement of the role of the media is something that should be broadcast all over the country each time they try to undermine the movement that is now taking place in opposition to their self-described 'brilliant, elitist, and FAILED, for a majority of the people' policies. It is sinister really, to see how blatant they are about undermining this democracy and others around the world. Where do people get this cult-like sense of their own superiority?

22. With all of the major media in their pockets
and the CIA sending economic hitmen (see John Perkins) to the four corners of the world for decades so as to destroy and loot emerging democracies, it is no wonder to me that the richest men on earth felt like they truly were filling the roles of super-important Masters of the Universe.

Until recently... These guys have all the info we are only now trying to catch up with. They know that the global financial system is going to collapse and are frantically jockeying for positions that would allow them to escape with as much money and power they can possibly rescue from the wreckage they have brought.

More and more stunning disclosures lie ahead, I think.

You get your ill-gotten gains out of the Swiss bank and bring them to America in the next 6 months and you will only be taxed 20%? If you wait 6 months longer, it will be 30%. How do you like those beans?
