We felt it in Norhwestern Oklahoma between Longdale and Fariview. This was a really eerie feeling. Then we went outside to look around and saw a white streak in the sky. Definitely not something we as Oklahomans are used to or prepared for. KLN - NW of Longdale, OK

What an experience this earthquake was. My whole house felt like it was rolling on water. Everything was shaking and rattling but it was the rolling of the house that got to me. I will take a tornado any day.

Okay now! Who goes to bed with 50 cal bullets? WOW!

11. Why strange? He might not have a ton of storage space available.
In the event of a serious quake, I could have electronics falling onto my bed. That would hurt more than a .50 round falling over, let me tell you.

9. Now, now. Don't be silly.
There is nothing wrong with 50 caliber bullets. They will do in a pinch when you don't have 20mm.

10. While I don't have any ammo above my bed,
I shudder to think at the mess were my entire ammo inventory (around 30,000 rounds) to be knocked over...but it's pretty stable; it would take a *big* earthquake, and we don't get those in Colorado.

Besides, even if we did I'd have more pressing issues than thinking, "Gee, what a mess..."!
