Anyone watching Rachel Maddow?
Apparently, Reagan didn't like reading briefing memos, so his staff made briefing "films" for him to watch (think of those newsreel films from the 50s and you get the idea). Apparently, several films have now been declassified.

3. Apparently, comic books were too sophisticated for Mr. Reagan.
I never thought RR was in charge of the WH...Mike Deaver and Howard Baker ran the shop...Ron just read the script and hit his marks.

4. That explains a lot. Film is the least informative of all media short of Twitter.

9. Here's the one they made, explicating the theory of Mutual Assured Destruction deterrence
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1orgv9WKn4

Which may help explain why President Reagan thought Star Wars was a good idea as well as a great movie about heroes with lasers and Princesses and Good and Evil. Some might say they were stacking the deck and trying to make strategic deterrence look silly.

In this short instructional film, non-aligned world markets, resources and populations are represented by the guinea pig.
