A very interesting Pew research poll on changing US families - link below
Just got this via Twitter

http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/attitudes-about-the-changing-american-family/?src=prc-twitter

Very short poll, allows you to compare yourself to others -

(my score was 91% - far more accepting of the changes going on - in case anyone was interested...)

1. That was easy, quick.
I got a 94%, I based my answers on what is best overall for young children growing up which, in turn, I would argue will make for a better society.

2. 94% more accepting
I can't fathom how people actually think that folks marrying someone of a different race would be a "bad thing for society". I guess I just about disagree with the "average" person on most social issues though, but that one floored me.

3. I was
a 98% - that fits me well. My partner and I were talking just the other day about how he wonders why he sees things so differently that most around him.

5. I got interesting bad results - the poll assumes a social theory connecting these issues
I don't happen to share that social theory, so my response to about half the questions was "WTF? why are they asking about THAT and leaving out all the important parts?"
