I have been in the Wayback Machine going through boxes of stuff I have dragged around with me forever. During my travels, I happened upon a diary I kept while I was in elementary school.
As I was reading through it, I was in awe of myself and the talent I displayed. I had to share so that you would be gobsmacked too.

January 12, 1965 - "I went to basketball practice. I scored 4 points. I think I am getting better.
(Gah! If I was getting better, I shudder to think about my earlier performance.)

January 17, 1965 - "It snowed most of the morning. Then it stopped and the weather cleared up."
(Obviously, I was destined to be a meteorologist.)

March 11, 1965. - "I nearly got in trouble."
(The detail is stunning.)

March 31, 1965- " I played in the rain all day down at Buddy's."
( Who the hell was Buddy?)

May 5, 1965- "Played badminton on the roof of the house today. I won.")
(Why I didn't get killed at some point when I was young is a mystery to me.)

June 5, 1965 - "Got my report card. I passed. I'm a queer."
(Nothing to see here. Move along.)

August 6, 1965 - Nothing unusual happened today. It was ordinary. Not many more days until school."
(I was a master of observation)

There were a few nuggets in with all the fine detail. BTW I did play badminton on the house.Why? I have no idea.
If we weren't doing something like that, we were down in the swamp trying to get eaten by alligators and snakes.
Hope you enjoyed this massive glimpse into my younger days. (Heh!)

4. I suspect there may be a gap in mine that covers the period after I fell off the roof or out of a

tree onto my head and before I regained consciousness as me. It would explain a lot.
