First, Franco Harris supported Joe Paterno openly on PCNC, and even said Joe Pa should be re-hired:

“When they attack his moral integrity and moral character, we just can’t sit back and let that happen,” said Harris. “I mean, he’s a good man. Has done so many great things. And for people to attack him, before the due process and everything has come out, really bothers me.” Harris goes on to say he thinks Paterno should be rehired.

“If he knew anything about anyone hurting any kids, he would have been the first to get in line to do something,” said Harris. Then, the Meadow Race Track and Casino which Harris is spokesman for fired him for his comments, issuing this statement:

“In light of the recent developments with Franco Harris regarding Joe Paterno’s dismissal, Franco and The Meadows have mutually decided to put their business relationship on hold at this time, while these matters are looked into further.”

2. Well, in light of what is coming out, Franco does look clueless
as to who JoePa really is.

6. I know it's a ridiculous thing to suggest to DU
but "what is coming out" in any given situation, may or may not be true.

8. I think it is...even if it isn't, Franco got the job because they wanted to use his image...
His image has been tarnished.

That said, he did say JoePa should not have been fired...even the vveery little JoePa has admitted to has most people on the hell yeah, he should have been fired side.

10. It's a good indicator that there is a witch-hunt going on when expressing opposition to...
passing judgement without going through a procedure of inquiry is enough to tarnish one's reputation.
