Cops drag woman by the hair down the street.
New York City police drag young woman through the street
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/11/17/new-york-cops-drag-young-woman-through-the-street/

As New York police tried to get “Occupy Wall Street” protesters to move off the street and onto the sidewalk, officers dragged a young woman through the street and arrested her.

“We noticed that cops were pulling the girl by her hair,” said a CNN iReporter, who recorded the incident.

“People starting yelling that it was police brutality. That’s when I started filming.”

A crowd of protesters shouted “shame” and booed the police officers as they dragged her into the street. Others could be heard shouting, “help her.”

4. It's just possible the whole episode needs pictures in order
to make a clear judgment on whether her hair was used or not. One photo does not show the whole story.

6. In the beginning of the clip an officer is dragging her by her hair.
He drags her by her backpack later.

7. Not that I can see.
That's not to say it didn't happen. I just can't see it in the clip.

8. Nope...sorry...
I enlarged it to full screen and what I saw was the cops dragging her by her backpack and maybe a hank of hair was caught in one of the straps.

I realize that people would dearly LOVE to have just one more reason to feel victimized by the evil cops, but this isn't it.

9. Yeah, because dragging her by her backpack...
...is such a good way to move a person.

C'mon. Yes, if she was dragged by her hair it occurred early on. But I gotta tell you, that backpack trick looked pretty brutal as well. She was still wearing it, so the straps were pulled up tight under her arms, and they were not being gentle by any stretch of the imagination.

So sure, maybe it's an exaggeration to say she was being dragged by her hair. It was still shameful. A bunch of big burly cops can't just pick her up and move her? Nope, gotta drag her, it's more fun that way.

P.I.G.S.

And I don't normally use the term in relation to cops.

Well, you've made it clear where you stand on these tactics, haven't you.
