Ok, help me out here Re Bloomberg's presser.
They bust this guy yesterday, buy a car, blow it up to get video to use in tonight's presser.

Why hold this press conference now? Why not yesterday afternoon? Why not tomorrow during business hours? This is just weird.

Who bought the car they blew up?

1. I found the "bomb" to be suspiciously simple in design and fabrication....
Like a basic 1-1/2" 90degree ELL, a couple caps, a 9V battery and a timer.

Some wires, some electrical tape, no powder, cardboard box.

Looked like something from a high school prop department.

BO-GUS!

:hi:

3. After watching Bloomberg's presser ...
tons of folks that didn't know 'where' to go look for how to build a bomb now do - website names were mentioned and that magazine with instructions.
And during the presser they really laid out all the things someone should 'not' do if they don't want to be caught.

I think their presser wasn't a very good idea.

6. This reminds me of Judi Bari & Daryl Cherney
I was living in the Bay area when that happened. The FBI placed a bomb in their car and blamed it on them. I was livid about it because I had met Judi and had stood by her defense of the Redwoods.

7. ere's more for tose wo don't know
Bari, Judi. TIMBER WARS. Monroe, Maine: Common Courage Press, 1994. The F.B.I. attempted to stop the political activity of Judi Bari and Daryl Cherney by exploding a bomb under their car. Daryl Cherney and Judi Bari filed a Civil lawsuit against the FBI and Oakland police. A jury awarded them $4.4 million dollars in 2003. see http://www.judibari.org
