Limbaugh: Michelle Obama NASCAR booing a recognition of ‘uppity-ism’ . Yup, uppity
Edited on Mon Nov-21-11 03:50 PM by Fuzz
WTF?

Bucking the trend of media condemnation, on his Monday show, radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested that when NASCAR fans booed the first lady at the Ford 400 in Florida on Sunday, it was justified and deserved. According to Limbaugh, it was rebuke of some of the policies the Obamas have promoted while in the White House.

“Bottom line: We don’t like being told what to eat,” Limbaugh said. “We don’t like being told how much to exercise. We don’t like being told what we’ve got to drive. We don’t like wasting money. We don’t like our economy being bankrupted. We don’t like 14 percent unemployment. The question is, what is there to cheer for when Ms. Obama and Ms. Biden show up?”

“I’ll tell you something else — we don’t like paying millions of dollars for Mrs. Obama’s vacations,” he said. “The NASCAR crowd doesn’t quite understand why, when the husband and the wife are going the same place, the first lady has to take her own Boeing 757 with family and kids and hangers-on four hours earlier than her husband, who will be on his 747. NASCAR people understand that’s a little bit of a waste. They understand it is a little bit of uppity-ism. First ladies have not been known to hop their own 757s four hours ahead of their husband when they’re going the same place.”

4. It was the height of tackiness ...
FLOTUS and Dr Biden were there to promote MILITARY FAMILIES, something supposedly near and dear to the NASCAR crowd.
As a longtime racing fan, I was extremely embarassed by the crowd's lack of class.

And had it been a Republican FLOTUS that got boo'ed, Rush would be squealing all over the place about 'supporting the President and office of and First Family'. What a flatulent clown that man is.

well, technically, so is Michelle, as her husband is CinC, but Jill's stepson Beau Biden served a year in Iraq. How many of the boobirds served there, or anywhere, for that matter?

6. Uppity??????????
HOW is this man still employed and broadcasting on the radio?

I've lived around a lot of racists all my life and I know exactly what word follows "uppity" in the vocabulary of racists. Just because he didn't say it doesn't mean he is not clearly communicating it to his creepy, ignorant followers.

How, in 2011, does he get away with using that kind of language on the radio to describe the First Lady of the United States?

11. The people who listen to him and Glenn Beck must have a very
high tolerance for stupidity, lying, racism, etc. You would think that through the years he would have said enough things that would offend his lesteners' sense of decency that they would stop listening to him. I guess a lot of them have no sense of decency.

24. in all honesty
no one should tell us how much drugs we can or cant take

but then again no one told him to exercise or told him what to eat

most right wingers cannot understand that you can tell people "such and such isnt good for you" just to inform people that it is not good for them, not to forbid them from doing said activity.

thinking them through LIke many Republicans "arguments." They know they have to be accepted immediately by the other party, or the slightest thought will expose the gaping hole in the point.

That he approves of the racism doesn't take away the fact that he confirms that was what it was.

34. Imus worked for a real network
My understanding about Limbaugh's show is that he essentially gives his show away to radio stations in his "network" in exchange for a some of the commercial spots. Given that set up there isn't really anyone that can "fire" him. If he gets dropped by a station in some market he would be free to move to any other station in the market.
