**Contact Lens Recall** Aviara Coopervision - check your lot if you wear them
Edited on Wed Nov-23-11 06:19 AM by Aerows
I wear these, so I thought I'd make anyone aware that hadn't had a mailer yet about them.

Find out more here:

http://www.coopervision.com/recall

They are lipid sensitive lenses that got an oil substrate exposure.

Older lenses were subject to protein deposits, these are much better at oxygenation, but they are susceptible to oil and lipid deposits.

Check your lot number on your lens box.

EDIT: "hazy" doesn't begin to describe it from your lot if you are affected. I thought I was going blind.

Since I had a pair in since Friday and thought I was losing my mind.

I put another pair in this morning and thought I would lose my mind again. Discomfort indeed.

Can you help me keep this kicked, DU? They aren't pleasant to put in.

Want to save others the "discomfort" and "haziness"

11. I had this problem with other cooper visions extended wear lens...
I swithed to frequency 55 aspheric's. Now if they would fix the way they package the lens, the seal it has a tendency to tear the lens upon opening.
