I agree with the thread title, not the body -- or at least I would have, until recently. Here is Glen Ford's take --

9. Depends on the one assessing. One person can see him as saving

progressivism and the other can see him dismantling parts of it under the guise of saving it. The confusion comes from what the administration has offered up at times. But I know I'm trying for discussion rather than emotion in this post. So it doesn't belong in the thread I suppose.
