2. You're assuming a static model, a highly unlikely proposition.
Already various factions are forming to do away with the "automatic" defense cuts, and slash and burn social programs, SS, Medicare, and Medicaid even more. Then who loses? Oh, yeah, the middle, working and poor classes.

Far too soon to declare victory or defeat coming out of this, for anyone.

3. "Various factions" can't do away with anything without the President's signature.

4. Like that's truly comforting,
Given our current president's record, the answer is, NOT!

6. Oh ye of little faith...
The President track record is fine. He has done wonders with the monumental mess he has had to deal with.

5. Wait
"You're assuming a static model, a highly unlikely proposition...Already various factions are forming to do away with the "automatic" defense cuts..."

...you're considering the fact that the cuts have been signed into law a "static model, a highly unlikely proposition," but the fact that some assholes ("various factions") are mouthing off about repealing them valid?

7. Considering who the assholes are that are starting a repeal movement,
Yeah, the threat is very valid. I'm willing to bet that there will be not defense cuts of any significance, while social programs will get hammered.
