OK, now this is very cool! |
|
Love this! This year we will experience 4 unusual dates~ 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11~
NOW go figure this out~ take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and it WILL EQUAL TO 111!!!!

5. The "111" rule isn't true for those born after 1999. |
|
If you were born in 2000 and are 11 years old this year, 00+11 = 11, not 111.

7. My oldest's birthday is 11/11. When he was about 5, he told me |
|
that he wished he had been born in 1911..I reminded him that he would have had different parents and would be getting old by then (it was 1978). I reminded him that one day he would get to celebrate his birthday on 11-11-2011.. "Oh Mom...that's so far in the future, it'll never happen".. It happens in a few months for him:)

13. There is actually a simple explanation for that. |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-20-11 10:38 PM by tabatha
Take for instance, someone born in 1979 and will turn 32 in 2011
2011 - 1979 = 32
or 1979 + 32 = 2011
In the above calculation, the carry over from adding 79 +32 goes to change the 19 to 20 thus giving 2011
But if the "19" (1900) is taken away
then 79 + 32 = 111 where the 100 part would normally be used for the carry to change 19 to 20.
Q.E.D.
And this applied to all ages prior to 1999 and the age they will turn in 2011.
