If we assume that the Newt implodes, will there be time enough for another one to get their day in the sun before the Establishment brings the insurrection to an end and everybody does what they are told?

I'm thinking Ron Paul may be due for his day in the sun. I'm not saying he'll get the nomination, but I could see him surging.

1. Can a circus continue when they run out of clowns?

2. Yes, there is time. Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Rick Santorum, and Gary Johnson
Edited on Fri Nov-25-11 12:37 AM by Tx4obama

ALL still have time for their 15 minutes at top of the circus tent.

The Republican Party doesn't choose their party's nominees for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States, until the week of August 27, 2012.

There's still time for all sorts of crazy shit to happen :)

Maybe the GOP will have a 'brokered convention'? And end up picking someone that is currently in the bottom of the polls.

3. I suspect that Ron Paul will do the third-party thing
Which will be quite interesting.

4. Romney's their guy. I for one can't WAIT until he's in front of a group of journalists
and one asks him if he's wearing the Magic Underwear.

I can't believe the rethugs would put a mormon up as their candidate. Given that you can't win the Presidency without independent voters; I doubt many independent voters who consider themselves evangelicals will vote at all rather than vote for Romney.

This is going to be a cakewalk for Obama.

5. Yes. There could be a brokered convention, if no one has
enough votes going into the convention.

6. That dork Johnson might as well have his 15 minutes.
Just to get it out of the way so he can go back to whatever hole he climbed out of.

7. Romney is his OWN anti-Romney.
I was against that before I was for it.
