A 6 year old's Christmas wish list. LOL (Signs fo changing times)
Yesterday I asked my 6 year old granddaughter what she wanted for Xmas.
Here's her list!

Iphone
Ipad
computer
credit card.

A credit card!!!!! I couldn't believe it!! I still chuckle when I think of it!

2. I remember once when I gave my nephew a pocketful of change.
He came back a few minutes later and gave me back all the pennies. When I was his age a penny could buy a piece of candy.

3. My daughter was about 4 years old when I mentioned not having any money
Edited on Fri Nov-25-11 06:39 PM by Auntie Bush
She said, "Why don't you go to the money store and get some?" LOL That was about 35 years ago and they used to have money store ads on TV. Wouldn't it be nice if we could do that?

4. Mine would tell me "that's okay, we can go to the ATM."
It took him a while to understand that I was just getting my own money back from those things, that they weren't Star Trek replicators for cash.

6. Ah yes, CONSUME
might be cute, but to me it is warning ahead, as in huge red glowing letters.

7. consumerism is a great distraction in life
so great, it can mess you up just like anything else we consume. Too much of anything is bad for you.

9. I am very sorry Auntie Bush, but
that is so NOT funny. Really, really sad to me. Yes, a fine example of our sad, sick money oriented culture, the very young nurturing of greed that we are now crying out against. This is exactly where it starts.

Yes she is learning it from the family and so you are part of the problem when you chuckle and think it's cute.

12. Kind of sad IMO, no toys, nothing to have real kid fun with
nothing that says 6, might as well be 60. No dolls, no bikes, no red wagons all the things that you can have as a kid but outgrow as an adult. Sad for a child to be caught up too soon in this adult world instead of being a kid. It's really appalling. bad enough adults are caught up in this, now kids are too. :-(

16. I think the lesson here
is that we should spend a lot more *quality* time with our kids, and a lot less time on the computer/phone/tablet when they're around. Kids just want to do what they see grownups doing.
