Newt 2012 has been calling repeatedly
I finally was home and answered. After letting the canned speech go by (how bad Pres Obama is for using slogans, unlike Newt who would never do such a thing, how bad Pres Obama's failed euro-socialistic policies are failing, etc) I got to talk to a man.

He started in his speech which I rudely cut off. It'd been over 2 minutes listening to Newt's blather already. He said he'd take me off his list, not sure how I got on there. I laughed and told him I'm never vote for Newt, etc etc and hung up on me.

Tiny tear.

2. Yep, been getting Newt 2012 calls here every day for about a week now
Leaves the number 404-220-7273 on my Caller ID.

I let my answering machine deal with it. They never leave a message.

3. next time play along
I'm a political campaign worker, and most staffers have quotas on calls they need to make.

If you stall the guy as long as possible, he can't make that next call and meet his quota.

4. And ask his office to send as much campaign literature as possible
I guess draining small amounts of mailing funds from these people is cheating a little, but I guess I have no shame when it comes to dealing with assholes.

5. I do this, and rationalize it by reminding myself
...that as a liberal, I have a forever open mind. If somehow Newt's campaign literature convinces me that everything I've ever believed was simply wrong, well then, I mean anything's possible, right? :D

7. Should have just asked him why he would be calling in
support of the guy that shut down government during his last stint.

9. i agree, if i had time i would continue talking to the person and then slowly bring up things
like newt dumping his wife when she had cancer and all the other crap. but i would still be kind of serious about it. like mention how morals are very important to me .

10. I would ask

I would ask if he has any grandkids seeking employment.

His brilliance is unparalleled. When an institution like Penn State University reminds us of the danger, we should now feel trustworthy of private enterprise to faithfully watch over our young.
