As Thanksgiving draws to an end and as winter approaches, what is next for the Occupy Movement? While it's been amazing to see the movement grow and have great staying power even in the wake of extreme police brutality, having rallies of a few thousand people won't get the job done. We need to have bigger rallies across the country reaching into the hundreds of thousands of people, with epicenters in the millions in both Washington DC and New York City. I honestly feel like OWS should bring out its own contestants for the 2012 races in all levels: House, Senate, and Presidency. What do you guys think? I feel like while the movement has made tremendous progress, it still needs to catch that spark where it'll explode. Our views are aligned with those of the people: Wall Street and Washington are corrupt, corporations aren't people, the rich need to pay their fair share, the wars need to end, and Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid shouldn't be cut.

and it will continue to evolve and overcome whatever is thrown in it's way. I suspect this genie is not going back into any bottles.

2. I tend to agree. Civil rights, women's rights, all took years. This will be no different. |
