Wanna see our military's plans? They'd curl your hair.
And what brilliant thing is it that you believe the United States should do about INTERNAL EGYPTIAN AFFAIRS? Which rebel group do you think we should support? How many people should we get killed to satisfy righteousness?
Saddam was a nasty dictator. We dumped him. HOW MANY IRAQIS ARE DEAD WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN ALIVE IF WE'D LEFT THEM ALONE?
Sign me, Disgusted.

10. not internal Egyptian affairs |

And we're hardly staying out of it. We give Egypt billions in military aid. Without our support, that repressive regime could not survive. We are very involved in this.

7. Better she tell them to die for liberty? |
|
Would that work better?
I get that the protesters are unhappy that the US isn't going Rah Rah Rah for them, but WTF is it we're supposed to be supporting now? No established government cheers a mob. Mubarak's government has NOT fallen yet. He was still able to order the army into Cairo. Possible opposition leaders are under arrest or house arrest.
Would it help the protesters if the US alienated Mubarak right now? Really? What are we supposed to be doing that would suit them?
NOTHING we do now will suit them. This is their business, not ours. THEY have to sort out their leadership problems.
And it would be very nice if most of those protesters are still alive by next year. Because in Iran, they aren't.
