Even though we are anonymous we are all human. When we reach out to each other for comfort it seems there is more empathy here.
I've witnessed it so many times. DU beats any other social networking site when it comes to caring about people.

Sometimes our words seem vicious but when there is a hurting and maybe lonely person reaching out DU folks comfort with kind thoughts and words.

There's nothing better then interacting with actual flesh and bone friends and folks but there's also nothing better then DU.

3. Yesterday was a perfect example of that, wasn't it?

We had a great Egypt thread, all sharing info. and links, people from across the planet pooling information,
voicing support.
I found it moving, and marvelous.
And DU did not hiccup even once....THANKS ADMINS!!!!!

6. I have actually been on DU much longer than my time indicates on my profile

I had a different ID and password. In 2007 we bought new computers, changed the ISP and email and I actually forgot my ID and password.
I had to re-register so that changed my actual participation information here. Whoever you are, love us or hate us, we are together and that what counts.
