S.F. dispute over cell phone ends in slaying

An argument over a cell phone ended in the shooting death of a man in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood Sunday night and the arrests of two suspects, police said today.

The suspects and the 33-year-old victim, Sylvestri Brown, were arguing on the street on the 900 block of Connecticut Street at about 8:15 p.m. when one suspect pulled out a semiautomatic handgun and shot Brown in the chest, police said.

Otherwise this contretemps might have been resolved with fisticuffs and everyone would just walk away when it was over. Now we have a dead body and a couple more tenants for the Graybar Hotel. U!S!A! U!S!A!
