Nude guys irk some in Castro, but not tourists

Tourists come to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge, AT&T Park, Fisherman's Wharf - and the naked guys in the Castro.
This Sunday, a guy was standing on Market Street wearing a multi-colored hat, shoes and a glitter-covered sock over Mr. Happy. The glitter was a nice touch. Did he think no one would notice?

"Unfortunately, most of the tourists are taking photos with them," said Mission Station police Capt. Greg Corrales.
"I'm not personally offended," said Dennis Spencer of Spencer and Co. hair salon. "But it is not good for business."
For those who wonder why the police don't do something, Corrales says "lewd and indecent exposure" trials have been losers with juries. The cops opt for "public nuisance: offensive to the community."
Corrales says to get that they need a signed citizen's complaint, but that doesn't happen in tolerant San Francisco. So the Market Street production of "Free Willie," continues.
