Tortilla Factory Worker Falls Into a Dough Mixer and Dies
What a horrible way to go.

The steel gates on the Tortilleria Chinantla tortilla factory in Bushwick, Brooklyn, were drawn down on Monday morning, a telltale sign that something at the usually bustling seven-day-a-week plant was amiss.

Juan Baten, a 22-year-old Guatemalan immigrant worker at the factory, died on the job earlier in the day after falling into a machine used to mix tortilla dough, the Police and Fire Departments said.

Emergency personnel responded to the factory, at 975 Grand Street, around 2:30 a.m. A worker, they were told, had suffered cardiac arrest. On arrival, however, they found that Mr. Baten, who had worked at the factory for six years, had fallen into the machine. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the authorities said.

1. God, those horrific industiral deaths are so hard to fathom...
What a terrifying way to die. I hope he had had a fatal MI before falling in. RIP, Mr. Baten.
