Would Rupert Murdoch hire Keith Olbermann?: ‘We Don’t Believe in Firing People Twice’
Following a half hour of coverage of the launch of “The Daily” on both FBN and FNC this morning, Neil Cavuto sat down with News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch, and the talk went beyond the company’s new news site, including on the topic of Comcast’s controlling stake of NBCUniversal. “I think it’s okay,” said Murdoch of the deal. When Cavuto pressed Murdoch about whether Comcast had anything to do with Keith Olbermann leaving MSNBC, Murdoch paused, then said, “I just don’t know.” And whether he’d hire Olbermann: “No. We fired him once, we don’t believe in firing people twice.”
