2344: Two of America's prime-time news anchors, NBC's Brian Williams and CBS's Katie Couric, have left Egypt amid a crackdown on the media covering the protests. They have been anchoring their nightly broadcasts from Cairo for several days.

Anapour is there for ABC and Engel, chief foreign correspondent for NBC is there. Even the Fox guy who got beaten so badly he was hospitazlized is still there.

he's now in Amman, Jordan, where there will be large demonstrations tomorrow. And I'd like to see anyone poo-poohing the MSM anchors do what Lester Holt tried to do today--walk the streets around Tahrir Square & rescue a fellow American trapped in Cairo. Unfortunately, she's still there, but Holt is in contact with the Embassy & hopefully they can get her out.
