US News: Glenn Beck's Egypt Protest Theories Show He's Finally Lost It
-----

The man has finally blown a gasket. His pattern-recognition machine is spewing smoke and shards of metal.

In Beck’s bizarro world, the Ayatollah Khomeini and Abbie Hoffman are like the Ponch and John of anti-Americanism. All that rolling around naked in the mud at Woodstock was really a harbinger of Western women one day being forced to wear burqas. The Fugs have reunited, and they’re learning to chant the muezzin.

Beck is a college sophomore with a big budget. He knows just enough history to be dangerous rather than simply ignorant. His self-important lament about having made enemies on the left and right is a textbook martyr complex.

Alas, this nonsense is only going to get more nonsensical. Beck, whose ratings on both TV and radio are falling, is going to keep chasing after the high he enjoyed at his grandiose rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

But sane people will stop paying attention.

4. I can explain that.
If you do not have a balanced foundation, then as things are seen, you have to fit them into your world view, when they can't fit as you learn.

So as he learns, and tries to fit it into his world view, he has to generate many items in his mind to create the linkage for his thoughts to make sense to him.

If you think wrong is right. And you think you are a right kind of person. If you are shown wrong, your mind has to jumble it through many things to try to reassemble the thought to fit your mind.

Or you learn, that is why education can solve many problems, since if your foundation is based on thinking and feeling, then the noise doesn't effect you, since you never put your foundation on 'what someone told you' but what you think is best and feel is correct, and that is a pretty solid foundation.

There are some variations, difficulties with labels, and concepts of not being sure about information sets, that can make your fortress more conceptual, but really you need a foundation of heart and reason also.

Then again maybe I am wrong, but at least I am sane.

And I could use a beer.
