41. I'd feel better if the "departure" looked likely
I regret that it appears to me right now that the pro-democracy struggle is going to take weeks and months instead of days to get rid of Mubarak, and may require more violence and suffering than should be the case.

I have my list of villains as to why this seems to be what's shaping up. Needless to say, my list does not include the people in the square, who are truly inspirational.

I hope I'm wrong, and departure happens speedily, as in now, like today now, not nine months from now.

My best wishes to everyone at DU following and supporting this uprising.

People cheer as army arrest pro mubarak supporters near tahrir sq #egypt #jan25 http://twitpic.com/3weyq3

Just wanted everyone to see how the fucking PEOPLE took control of this situation because if it had been up to the Police State Transition supporters and the Army, things would not have turned out like this. The PEOPLE set up barricades, checkpoints, checked papers, searched people and when they found trolls, turned them over to the Army.

The people TOOK CONTROL.
