Look closely...

For decades after the Great Depression, it was accepted that workers deserved to share in the productivity of their labor. This helped to create a great Middle Class.

But somewhere along the line, we changed that theory. Workers did not "deserve" anything that their employers did not wish to give them.

It would have been appropriate to raise the minimum wage at least another two dollars an hour to make up for this shafting. The working person has been screwed.

With credit cards and easy mortgages, they cleverly found ways to make workers "think" they had more money. Unfortunately, when the bubble burst and truth was exposed, they did not...

Knowledge is a dangerous instrument.

6. The decline in Unions is the answer....
It still boggles my mind that people (employees) think companies or corporations actually care about them individually.

People have to realize, without Unions you have zero rights. You could have worked 20 years for a company... the budget gets tight and they look at who costs the most...or maybe they just are tired of having you around. It doesn't matter... without a Union they can fire or lay you off without a reason.

All the bad propaganda spewed out about how Unions cause businesses to close are false. That is an excuse, someone to blame for poor management of the company.

9. That is just so "old" Democratic Party.
The "New Democrat" Party doesn't play that "Workers are people too" bullshit.
THEY worship Reagan.

10. So what's the problem?
SOMEBODY has to pay for the big-fat salaries and bigger-fatter bonuses for the CEOs who are creating all those American jobs.

11. All that increased productivity, no increase in compensation
The wealth created by that labor must be going somewhere, since it's not going to the workers who produced it. But where? Where???

Oh well, no time to ponder that irrelevant question. It's time for Redirection Theater! Today, Charlie Sheen checks into rehab after another bacchanale ends badly. We'll focus like a laser on this vital story right after these promotional ads for the next reality series.
