http://www.omaha.com/article/20110207/NEWS97/702079855/0#man-found-guilty-in-another-crash

Published Monday February 7, 2011

A repeat behind-the-wheel killer was found guilty Monday of manslaughter in the June 20 death of 27-year-old Shavera Hill.

After a brief trial before Douglas County District Judge Leigh Ann Retelsdorf, Glenn L. Grant was found guilty of manslaughter in the crash at 52nd Street and Sorensen Parkway.

Police estimated that Grant, 31, was driving 67 mph in a 40 mph zone when he ran a red light and crashed his 1998 Jeep Cherokee into Hill’s 1993 Mazda MX-6. Grant’s Cherokee T-boned Hill’s Mazda and Hill died at the scene.

Blood tests showed that Grant had marijuana and PCP in his system.

2. PCP can stay in your system for about a week, I think.
So he may not have actually been under the influence.

Regardless, he sounds like a complete scumbag.

7. I didn't even know PCP was still around
I'm 42 years old. I've seen (and taken) my share of illicit drugs. I've never seen PCP. I've never heard of anyone having it. I wouldn't know the first thing about where to find it. So I'm curious--how much PCP is really made anymore? Where are people getting it? Have you ever seen it, or had access to it, or used it? For me, PCP is in the same category as Quaaludes, Dodo birds, and Sarah Palin's career--extinct. Interested in others' experiences. Thanks.

9. I've been around too, and I've never known
or heard of anyone who did PCP. The only thing I remember about PCP was a tv show back in the 70's or early 80's in which a teenage girl was high and was standing on a rooftop. She flapped her arms and hollered, "I can fly!" before she jumped. My friends and I did imitations of her for a long time after that. Good laughs!

13. I have done PCP.
Some asshat told me it was coke and I was too high (wine and weed) to know it wasn't (taste/smell) until it was too late.

Worst "high", ever. The cops stopped me on the sidewalk and asked what was wrong with me.

"I'm having trouble getting my feet to reach all the way to the ground."

I took crap about that for years.

12. they used to call it "tea"
I'm 40. When I was a late teen I used to smoke some pot. The guy in our neighborhood that sold us pot starting calling it "tea" - I thought that was just a new slang word for pot. I smoked it a few times before knowing what it was.

OK, for me at least, the thing with this was complete break from reality. Completely somewhere else. Gone. Like psychotic break. Not just a hallucination, or breathing trees or some crap like that, I mean a complete shift in surroundings, gone.

I think people still lace reefer with it, to make it seem like super potent weed. I haven't really smoked anything in decades, so I'm just guessing, but I'm sure they do.

10. They oughts just tie him to the grille...
and put a brick on the accelerator.

"Grant had just been released from prison in April for causing the September 2006 crash that killed Clara Dawson. He served nearly 2 years for that crash, which occurred as he drove 80 mph along Sorensen Parkway, ran a red light and crashed into Dawson’s car at 30th Street.

With his latest conviction, Grant faces up to 20 years in prison. He will be sentenced in April."
