I tuned in a Limbaugh rerun yesterday for about a minute (all I could stomach) and heard him sputtering and spluttering about how awful Harry Reid is. Later the same day, I caught a minute or two of a Hannity show (I know, I'm a glutton for punishment) and he was in a state of petulant outrage about Nancy Pelosi and how awful she is.

I got to wondering. Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Palin....do any of these pretentious pontificators ever offer anything positive? A vision for the future perhaps, or a policy they recommend? Or is their job to simply stand on the sidelines throwing rocks at people who are trying to bring about real progress, all the while whining and crying and moaning and sobbing and griping about the awful "liberals" on the "far left"?

WHO WOULD LISTEN TO THIS CRAP? WHY? I found the few minutes I listened to be stressful and disgusting. Other people listen for hours and hours and hours. What on earth is wrong with them?

11. For the very, very briefest of times, I listened to Limbaugh during the Clinton Adminstration.

I was curious. It was during the time of Vince Foster's death. And of course, Mr. Oxycotin was in full "Foster was murdered by the White House" mode. I couldn't take anymore of it.

It's depressing to listen to these people. Gripe, gripe, gripe, whine, whine, whine with Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc. Plus, let's face it...these AREN'T mental giants, to put it mildly. That's why I'm delighted that Rachel Maddow is on our side...she's freaking SMART.
