1. Yup
Egypt’s higher military council will sack the cabinet, suspend both houses of parliament and rule with the head of the supreme constitutional court, Al Arabiya television reported on Friday.

3. Who was he addressing in the speech which just ended ?
He even had the fucking cheek to mention Indonesia as a previous example without mentioning US intervention either there or in East Timor

6. Well in fairness to him he wasn't in charge then
but we both know that US foreign policy is run by hawks.
I don't ever remember a US president cheering on a revolution like this outside of an anti-communist or pro-US puppet. He's come a long way.

I'd like to see Netanyahu fall now along with all the other zealots and dictators in those parts.

4. Not sure that was his first choice.
The bigger regime still lives. Licking its wounds, trying to decide what to do next.

5. yes of course
mubarak dropped suleiman and ceded power to the Military as a way of getting back at the US for its bullshit hypocritical treatment of him in his hour of need.
