USO Care Package for Women Stuffing Party

Wednesday morning marked another care package stuffing event for female troops serving overseas.

The event, sponsored by the USO, brought out members of Congress like Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Rep. Madeleine Bordallo (D-Guam), Rep. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) and Rep. Gene Green (D-Tex.).

Sloan Gibson, president of the USO, also attended the event, speaking about how beneficial it is to send troops back overseas with care packages and memories of home.

Those who stopped by to help out were also encouraged to sign a flag to send to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who was gunned down last month outside a Tucson Safeway.
