18. Nepotism at work
Fuck Walker and his "business" experience. The truth is that his daddy in law is the CEO of Bemis and set him up in his cozy relationship to manufacture stuff for Bemis that they could easily make themselves. Sound to me like both a rip off of the share holders and the workers.
I hope Wisconsin voters realize their mistake.

22. Lawmakers' father picked to head Wis. state patrol.... A lot of Nepotism
MADISON, Wis. —

Steve Fitzgerald, the father of the two most powerful Republican state lawmakers in Wisconsin, will lead the Wisconsin State Patrol, Gov. Scott Walker's administration announced Tuesday.

Fitzgerald said the fact that his sons are Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, R-Horicon, and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, didn't affect his appointment or how he will approach the job leading the 640-member patrol.

"I have my own focus and my own agenda and they have theirs," Fitzgerald said in an interview, noting that no questions were raised over the past eight years when he served as U.S. marshal for western Wisconsin while his sons were in politics.

But his appointment to the statewide patrol position only increases and deepens the power and influence of the Fitzgerald family. Both of his sons took on their new leadership roles last month following Republican victories in November that handed the party majority control of both the Senate and Assembly.

I go through threads in order from newest to oldest, it helps immensely if someone referring to a previous thread makes some reference thereto.

89. ON WISCONSIN WORKERS! I worked at UW for 8 years and took part in the TAA strike in 2004.
I don't live in WI anymore, but I'm sickened by how much this new governor is doing to KILL collective bargaining and all the rights won through collective bargaining in WI. It's beyond disgusting.

Wish I could be there, too, Badgers!

94. Kickin it again and as I have said on another thread NOT ONE DIME
Take it to the capitalists, right where it hurts-THEIR WALLETS!

Spend only what you need to survive, my brothers and sisters in the struggle. NOTHING MORE!

See how many jobs that whips up. Tank the economy here, I say, it will only hasten his demise.

96. As a Wisconsin teacher...
...this thread was a welcome joy after a demoralizing day.

We need all the attention, help, and goodwill that we can get this week.

98. Scott Walker is a horrible human being
His lack of oversight and public saftey led to the death of a 15 year old due to a public building.

Thousands will die when he strips medicade through badgercare.

Scott Walker is Wisconsins Hitler.

The local organizers started with a goal of filling one bus for today. They have enough commitments to fill four buses. Be strong WI!

108. Just out of curiosity, and I am by not means encouraging this, I wonder what would
happen if people showed up at these protests with guns strapped to their hip? You know the way those ever "patriotic" teabaggers did during the health care "meetings".

113. Walker has actually threatened to do something to us
using the National Guard...what that would be we don't know. The changes to pension contributions, insurance and possible pay cuts amount to a 20% pay cut for many, including my SIL and my best friend at work (a single parent of two).
