I miss Keith Olbermann
MSNBC is not the same. I liked Ed Schultz when he was on earlier - he's not on on Friday, so he gets only 4 days.

Matthews and his President of the World is really grinding on my nerves.

Keith & Rachel made a solid evening when I wanted to catch up on some details of news that I'd missed.

Seems like I put CNN on more than I used to, and even, God forbid, put Fox on once in a while. MSNBC doesn't deserve my loyalty anymore.

1. Did you see that Warren Buffett's firm has sold off a lot of Comcast stock?

That "President of the World" BS really annoys me too - it has to come across badly to non-Americans whenever we Americans say things like that or "New York City is the best city in the world" etc.

2. Didn't know that..what's he buying now?

If he has no control whatsoever over MSNBC's programming, maybe this will be the end of Rachel too.

There goes the network. We'll have a whole week of jail programs.

5. Me too.
I miss Keith bunches.
I turn to FoxNews to watch Shep Smith when Hardball rerun is on.
And I rarely watch Ed at his new time slot.
The TV usually gets switched to something else after Rachel's show.

I can barely wait until Keith's new Current TV show airs in the spring!

6. I do too. His top story today probably would've been about the budget cuts.
And he'd do a story about Cpac.

Maybe even a special comment about Clarence Thomas.
sigh.

The thing about Ed - when he comes on, I am winding down for the nite.
Listening to his rants when I'm getting in my pjs is not the same as listening to his rants while I'm making dinner.
He's too intense, for me, that time of nite. Lawrence was perfect to wrap up the nite. Ed is just too wired, so I don't watch him as much now.

Hurry up Keith. We're ready for you!

9. Exactly!
You just explained why Ed is on at the wrong time. We're all too tired to get excited over the crimes of the republicans. Not to mention cleaning up the dishes and starting the dishwasher (or by hand)....

Thank you for your insight. I wondered what was wrong with me...

13. I agree.....
they really should switch them around....

I don't watch LOD, just tune into Rachel now...
I have tried Ed, but, you're right, just too intense for that time...

I just flip over to the Daily Show repeat...and call it a night.

7. I tried watching CNN and instantly started losing I.Q. points
Then flipped to MSNBC only to find Norah O'Donnell was on.

I had to turn the "news" off.

8. MSNBC made a huge mistake in not moving Rachel to 8 and firing Keith in the first place.

11. Ed woulda been better at 8, Lawrence at 10 when he was on to begin with...
One real problem is that Matthews is on twice - 5 & 7 pm.

One hour is enough, two are unbearable.

Getting back to CNN, Frederica Whitfield (sp) is on all day Saturday and never stops smiling and being pleasant. No matter what happens, war, floods, earthquakes, there she is smiling pleasantly quite incapable of showing any emotion other than joy. That Don guy who's on on Saturday is too pleasant too, but sometimes he shows signs of having feelings, rarely though.

And Sat & Sun mornings, there's that goofy Alex Witt, sing-songing the news as though she were talking to a kindergarten glass.

We're in trouble, folks....

12. I haven't turned on MSNBC since that fateful day
But tonight I turned on Parker Spitzer and then heard that their two experts for the discussion were Dick Armey and Alan Simpson. Can you believe it??

I turned that off pronto. I went to Little House on the Prairie. Ha!
