1. Cheapest in my city is $3.45 (sigh)
That is to say, "central Chicago." $3.69 is not unusual. So thanks.

We try to fill up when we happen to be on an errand in the suburbs, where it is a little cheaper. Though I wouldn't drive there just to save 10 cents a gallon on gas. Sometimes I have to laugh at us when we search and search for gas that is a nickel a gallon cheaper. Our tank only holds 11.9 gallons, so we're talking about saving 60 cents on a fillup. And we can usually drive on that tank for three weeks (sometimes a lot more--we have a Prius and we don't usually drive that much.) It must be an ingrained habit to find the cheapest gas ... even when we go "oh well" if we're out and need a sandwich and it costs $7.95. Penny wise, pound foolish. But I guess that's better than being both penny and pound foolish.

2. I caught 3 stations in a row speedway, shell and mobile on dixie hwy in mich
had it for 2.86 today. I thought maybe the oil companies were giving us a valentine. I drive as part of my job and most of the other stations were still over the $3.00 mark.

3. Oh! I post local gas prices there!
It really is very good, since folks all over the U.S. and Canada are busy posting their local prices 24/7. I joined last March when prices were going up and searched on-line for where the lowest prices were, but couldn't find much from my little burg.

It's actually a kind of community, with "buddies" and folks that have been there for years... They even have "meet-ups," LOL. There are also "discussions," and some very informative gas and auto related news stories, but I'm just there for the gas prices, since there are too many (though there are all kinds of views) RWers there.

But it really is the best I've found on-line and I recommend it, too... :hi:
