1. Does this really look like it is going to get the attention
it needs? Will they be able to force changes on this teabagger of a governor?

My daughter and her roommate both live in Madison. They are both people who will be seriously hurt by the proposed changes. They will be out there with everyone who will be bussed in!

2. I think the Egyptians were asking themselves the same questions
a month or 2 ago.

3. For the last ten or twelve years,
anything we do has been ignored and swept under the rug. The media is complicit, of course. If a teabagger sneezes, it is all over the news. If we turn out en masse to protest something, it is dismissed as the action of a few crackpots.

We need EVERYONE to get behind any effort we make. In Egypt, they had a general strike. We need that here.

4. I think the people have figured out how to circumvent the one-way media.
It's a new world out there, and things like Twitter & Facebook are everywhere.

9. +1.
Go Cheeseheads.

I remember their activism during the sixties. Only Berkley did as well.

13. I went to a school not far away.
We had our activism and unrest, but we were not as big as UW. And we were all too often a thinking school. We would debate things and pass resolutions instead of taking action. Sometimes our leadership could not tell when the time for that had passed.

I had friends at UW. I loved visiting there and picking up good tips for demonstrations and activism.
