4. Because the Right Wing Owns the Media
and when you own all the Tee Vee stations, you can fool nearly all of the people nearly all of the time.

5. Oh, it sometimes is -- the Repukes chase the Democrats to the right.
;-)

Actually, it may have something to do with tight corporate ownership of the MSM.

6. My question: When they do that, why does ANYONE at this site defend them.
Some even show up on Cenk's show saying Obama's doing a good job.

8. Are you sure Democrats are chasing or are they leading?

9. Because there is no progressive or liberal America, as we invision it
here on DU. Don't think there has ever been, except for a few years in the 30's and a few in the 60's.

10. Well, it's kind of like the movie They Live.
"Some of us are joining up with them. All of a sudden their jobs get better, their bank accounts grow, they live in better houses, and drive nicer cars"..

And they do it on my back. They sit in their offices with their expensive suits and their manicures arguing about how much of my money that I earned working 18-20 hours a day they should spend on me and people like me and how much they should spend on the means to KILL.

When I start to look down into the rabbit hole, I have to stop myself or I will go completely insane. It's so deep and so fucked up that short of an alien invasion I see no way out.

11. MONEY
The simple fact is that human nature is about desire. Greed drives people. The more greedy they are, the more wealth they acquire, and the more they work to protect and grow that wealth. This is the philosophy of the right. And because they end up with the money, they have the power to influence government.

I just read today that the Forbes 400 richest Americans control as much wealth as 50% of the country. This means that 400 people has as much monetary influence as ONE HALF THE COUNTRY. Do you think those 400 people have the ability and will to influence elections and governments? Of course they do. Do you think they use that influence to help the people, or help put more money in their pockets?

There is no money in protecting the interests of the masses.
