I have one of the best aldermen in Chicago. His name is Scott Waguespack. He has only been in for a few years and he has fought Mayor Daley on all sorts of reform issues and has been a great liberal endorsed by Sierra Club, DFA many many unions (tho not the police union which is a good sign in Chicago). He has even been endorsed by both of the major newspapers The Chicago Trib and The Suntimes. It's very unusual to be that liberal and endorsed by the major papers, but Scott did it. The Daley machine however wants him out they are using robo calls and mailings to spread fear and lies. It's making me sick and made me volunteer for Scott. The election is next Tuesday.

1. If you take a call from a live person
Keep them on the line as long as possible. Act interested (if you can do it without puking), string them along. Keep them occupied and not calling other people. Think of it as your own personal little monkey-wrenching.

2. That's what I did and the guy was very complimentary to everything I said
til after about 15 minutes he started talking about secret meetings Scott had with evil people and I yelled into the phone
Stupid push poll!! and hung up. Then I called the campaign to volunteer.
