GOP "Strategery" is underway in WI-OH-NJ-FL.... union busting
GOP strategy of making govt broke then using broke-ness to attack working people is impressive in its venality." from Twitter Greg Pinelo

I quoted Greg Pinelo from Twitter because this sums it up! The repukes are all willing to break the government, then privatize everything to make their backers/supporters/campaign donors rich and let us become a "service society - do you want fries with that? - can I clean your pool / house for you?

1. I think the NFL lockout could be timed to go along with this push. Goodell's wife is a FOX reporter.

Even if it's not coordinated, something is in the air. I don't think it's that hard to coordinate 32 billionaires against labor, so I don't think it's that far fetched that they'd go after the most high profile labor group in America while all this is going on.

2. They definitely have long-range plans
and a step-by-step agenda for reducing America to a nation of serfs and their rich masters. Very perceptive post!

The sad thing is, I don't see any similar type of long-range planning by Democrats, based on a vision of what we want to see America become, on local, state and federal levels. They seem to be reacting to the repuke actions on a case-by-case basis without a coordinated response of their own.

I think if we were to clearly state our vision of America and the steps we would take to get there, and make it clear that we will fight on all levels to achieve that vision, we would be in a far better position to win national support and take back the country

3. This may be backfiring on them though.
Cutting benefits in the middle of a crisis can't be sitting well with people.

4. Double strategy going on...
Break working people & keep their backers rich, but also break the Dem Party because labor is major funder of Dems... and with citizens untied ruling by the SCOTUS it doesn't look good for any party other than the one these "people" (corporations) can buy

5. Shock Doctrine
Disaster Capitalism and Strategy of Tension

I recall the Birchers when I was young considered themselves the "antidote," to the virus of socialism, communism and the Zionist Iternational Bankers.

See what happens when you devalue education and remove equal time protections? You get electorates that can't think and don't have the opportunity to if they could. Hence, they are vulnerable to any hateful message that resonates for them. Like Hitler did in blaming Germany's economic problems on Jews.

Same mindset, same goal, similar tactics.

6. brief, clear summary of their three-pronged attack, by Robert Reich
"The Republican strategy is to split the vast middle and working class – pitting unionized workers against non-unionized, public-sector workers against non-public, older workers within sight of Medicare and Social Security against younger workers who don’t believe these programs will be there for them, and the poor against the working middle class..."
