He has a looooong history of fighting for labor. I remember in my town of San Jose, CA he actually protested the opening of a local super K-Mart because they were not hiring union workers. That was in the early 90's I believe. How quaint that seems now. And, of course he marched with MLK for workers' rights decades before that. The guy has earned our respect.
