Yet another republican who doesn't seem to understand the constitution
Et tu, Kinzer?

Kansas Rep. Lance Kinzer of Olathe is so upset about a 2005 Kansas Supreme Court ruling that he has decided the best course of action is to cut the judiciary and the governor’s office out of the loop on money matters in the future. His bill is a reaction to a court decision that the Legislature had erred in underfunding schools. Kinzer’s solution: a constitutional amendment banning the executive and judicial branches from ordering legislators to spend money.

So, um, well, wow. While the Kansas House never lacks for bizarre notions, this one sets a high bar. Here’s our suggestion: This whole balance-of-power thing seems to have worked well for a couple hundred years (couple thousand if you count the Greeks and Romans). Let’s keep it.

1. It's not that they don't understand the Constitution
It's more like they don't give a damn about it...and it's only use is for spinning to convince their brain dead supporters that they are the ones to be trusted to uphold it...

point you hope to make.

Please clarify.

4. If you mean the sentence about "constitutional amendment" that could mean anything and everything.
I have not read the state constitution but like most states I assume there are ways to amend it.

Is there a particular reason you are frightened that someone might succeed in actually amending the state constitution in your OP?
